My work recreates conscious feelings and experiences of human beings from an honest relationship with them. Generally people who carry within themselves their own wisdom marked by their long years of life, by the conditions and quality of these and by the environment in which they have developed, physically and emotionally. A deep interest in the peasant grandparent and their intimate connection with nature, being pillar of the family and their community for their wisdom, having respect and gratitude for the sacred. Using cedar wood from old doors, in the polychrome bas-relief technique I create hand-carved portraits of faces tanned by the sun and long years of hard work. I am interested in the recovery of the rural community and the dignity of the peasant.
